Out of the closet: fashion, women and bonding

I have made a lot of good friends and acquaintances with women over the years because I liked their fashion style — and they mine. My 18-year-old son has told me that “selfies” are insufficient for attracting “likes” on Instagram (where I am building my brand) and that I need to get out of my closet (My response is that my blog is about the relationship between a women’s closet and her mirror) and have someone take a photo. So a beautiful woman I met at Intelligentsia Coffee gladly accommodated my request this morning (she is the proud mother of successful blogger http://www.sprinklesonsunday.com). This outfit is all about transitioning effortlessly from Pilates to breakfast with Lululemon, a nice coat (this is IKKS from the Pasadena Boutique Finn+Willow (www.finnandwillow), and — as my friend pointed out — a really good purse (what I call the “suck it up” handbag, how to be a big girl when you have to do something unpleasant).
